2011 Numbers

I read 36 books in 2011, excluding about a dozen manuscripts from CPs and beta exchanges. Not a bad number, but not that great either. It's about one book every 1.5 weeks. I'd like to do better in 2012.

In 2011, I also wrote about 110,000 words. A good number, but nowhere near what other writers would be able to boast =P Since I want to write two novels this year, I'm hoping to beat this number!

I wouldn't be too hard on yourself about your word count, Lori. Quality of those words count too, and they netted you Suzie!

You did excellent last year! I read about 36, not including the nonpublished I've read for others. All great books coming out in 2012. I look forward to reading so many. Good luck this year.

Thank you :) We read about the same # of books, awesome! haha Reading manuscripts for betas/CPs takes up a lot of that time too though (not that I'm complaining! I love reading for my CPs). I hope 2012 is a good year.

You read and wrote way more than I did! I averaged about a book every 2 weeks. And I spent most of the year on revisions so it's hard to come up with an accurate number there. I'm hoping to do better this year.

You did great! I read way less than that and only wrote about 80k-ish words. I definitely have my work cut out for me this year with writing =/. I am aiming for 2 complete works and 1 completed in first draft form.

Thanks for sharing your stats! You read 6 more books than I did last year. :) I'm looking forward to a lot of those 2012 books too. The only one I'd add that I can think of right now is BITTERBLUE!
